Tenerife according to Wikipedia
April 23, 2006 on 10:44 pm | In Teide, Tenerife | No CommentsTenerife is the largest of the seven Canary islands and placed in the Atlantic Ocean close to the coast of Africa. The island has a volcanic origin, and it has the highest point of Spain, Teide, with 3,718 meters. The following photo was taken by the NASA:
Even if the island has only about 75 Km (50 Miles) from North to South, there is an amazing variety of different weathers. Because of that, tourism is more concentrated in the south of the Island (bottom right corner in the photo), where the weather is hotter and drier, especially around playa de las Americas and Los Cristianos.
